Hiking & Biking Trails

Grab your backpacks, hiking poles and throw on your hiking boots for some great exercise or relaxing nature walk. Or, hop on your mountain bike (or you can rent one!). And you can explore the downhill trails that crisscross the mountain. If you’re not up for that adventure, watch our events blog since there are some fun, competitive biking events that happen during the summer.  They’re a blast to watch!

So, from leisurely strolls to challenging uphill or downhill climbs, there’s definitely a trail for your skill level. Be sure to keep an eye out for stunning views of the Flathead Valley and surrounding wilderness! And, always bring your bear spray (some of our rentals usually has bear spray handy for our guests)

Scenic Chairlift Rides

This is one of our favorite activities. If you want to take in the majestic beauty of the mountains without breaking a sweat, this is for you. Click HERE for ticket info or at the base lodge, and let Whitefish Mountain’s chairlifts whisk you to the mountaintop for panoramic views that will leave you breathless. You can even ride up and take the Danny On Trail down. If you’re here in August, come with a baggie or bucket and do a little huckleberry picking. You’ll be among friends who are doing the same.

Zip Lining

This is a great adventure on Whitefish Mountain and a must-try experience. Here, you can soar through the treetops and feel the mountain wind breeze past as you zip from platform to platform. Tickets at the main lodge at Whitefish Resort. You can click HERE for more information too.

Alpine Slide

Oh, to feel like a kiddo again. This is one activity we love too! Go as fast or slow as you want on Whitefish Mountain. It’s a fun event and you can ride with a little one in your cart and take it a little slower. Or, if there’s no one ahead of you, go for more speed and zip down to the bottom. You’ll love it.
